Who I Am: The YouTuber Behind the Minecraft Stories

If you've ever watched a Minecraft video that felt more like a cartoon series than a game, there's a good chance it was mine. Here's a short guide to who I am and what I make, for new viewers and long-time ones.

Who am I?

I'm Aphmau, the online name of Jessica Bravura, an American YouTuber from Houston, Texas. I started making Minecraft videos for YouTube in 2012, and today my channel is known for family-friendly role-play and story-telling videos. I play Roblox on my channel too.

What are my best-known series?

Minecraft Diaries. My big role-play series began in March 2015. Its first season, The Rise of Phoenix Drop, follows Aphmau as the lord of a village called Phoenix Drop.

Phoenix Drop High. In March 2016 came MyStreet: Phoenix Drop High, a high school story that works as a prequel to MyStreet and shows how its characters first met.

MyStreet. The series Phoenix Drop High leads into, where the same friends meet again later in life.

Who is Aaron?

Aaron is one of the main characters in my stories. In Phoenix Drop High he's the new senior who starts out tough and slowly becomes one of Aphmau's closest friends.

What are MeeMeows?

MeeMeows is a merchandise line run by Catface, the production company I founded in 2019. It makes cat plush toys, clothing and accessories, and the round, colourful cats appear on many of our designs.

Anything else to know?

I had a background cameo as myself in A Minecraft Movie (2025), and I was nominated for Favourite Gamer at the 2024 Kids' Choice Awards.
